RSG Digital Restorations Sampler
One of the great things about Photoshop (and graphics editing software in general) is that it gives us the ability to repair, enhance and even colorize damaged, age-worn vintage photographs & printed material.
Although the digital restoration process can be time-consuming and even frustrating at times, there's a certain amount of satisfaction involved when one can bring an old, faded & damaged illustration or photo back to something close to it's former appearance.
Here are just a few 'before & after' shots of digital restoration projects we've completed recently. Most of the original scans presented here were downloaded from the LIBRARY OF CONGRESS website. Other items are from our ever-growing personal archive of interesting old stuff.
