The book consists of two parts: firstly, we have an assortment of vintage style pen and ink portraits, mostly done from photo reference. The Victorian-style borders and embellishments are reproduced from the original scans of old public-domain books & publications. These are sourced primarily from the Library of Congress website.
Part two is a collection of pen & ink and digital line-art drawings of various subjects (Retro Science Fiction, Old Movies etc.), presented in a kind of mid 1960’s, ‘Mad Magazine’ style humorous vein. (Yeah, that pretty much sums up where my head was at when I was a kid.)
